Kavya Kowtha is a graduate student at Columbia University’s Climate School, where her work focuses on climate risk, sustainability, urban systems, and the social impacts of infrastructure. She brings a background in technology, design, research, and communications, with experience translating complex environmental, technical, and policy issues into clear, accessible materials across corporate, civic, and community-based settings.
Through her internship with PRISM, Kavya is excited to support research and communications around informal and shared mobility systems, with a focus on equity, emissions reduction, and urban access. She is particularly interested in how transportation and climate research can inform more just, sustainable, and community-centered mobility systems in India.
