Maria Sabina Diaz Rodriguez
I'm a research assistant in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Universidad de los Andes, where I earned my degree in Civil Engineering and am currently pursuing a Master's in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation. I'm a member of the SUR research group within the same department, and I've served as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate course Systems of Transportation.
My research interests include transportation planning, demand modelling and projections, transport analysis, and the study of transportation impacts always connecting these to their social and environmental dimensions. I'm currently working on transport formalization, and I've also worked on issues of care and gender in mobility. I'm committed to ensuring that mobility is designed for everyone, and I believe the future lies in the integral and inclusive design of transportation systems and cities.
