This session will bring together researchers and practitioners working at the forefront of two-wheeler regulatory frameworks, two-wheeler business models, and government mobility work across different regions of the Global South.

Speakers include:

• Carlos Gonzalez Alvarez, Shared-Use Mobility Center and GNPT — presenting a scan on regulations on two- and three-wheelers in 96 countries around the world, which shows a mixed bag with half of the countries not having explicit regulations.
• Monica Martinez, Movilidad Sistemas Integrados de Movilidad (State of Mexico) — presenting the process of how the State of Mexico is developing regulation for two- and three- wheelers.
• Ornicha Anuchitchanchai, Chulalongkorn University Transportation Institute (CUTI)(Bangkok Living Lab - PRISM) — presenting on the business models for the electrification of motorcycle taxis in Bangkok- find the working paper here.
